In the age of kindle and ebooks, Arasu and Mangai hired MOAD to transform part of their terrace into a personal library with open access to interested public. The 40-year personal collection spans more than 10,000 Tamil books that include rare magazine volumes. The space is a spartan composition of wax finished plastered walls, terracotta tile flooring and termite-proof Padak wood frames.
